“Soup-er” Bowl of Caring

Sunday, February 5th, is “Soup-er” Bowl of Caring Sunday. Over the next few weeks, we are asking members to bring in canned soups. The children will build something out of the cans before donating them to The Dickson Help Center. We would like to have all the cans here by Wednesday, Feb. 1st.
We invite you to wear your favorite team colors/jersey to church on “Soup-er” Bowl of Caring Sunday.
Let’s show our team spirit!

United Methodist Women – Mary Martha Circle report for December, 2016

As the New Year is upon us, we pause to reflect on what happened in 2016. Per usual, it was an active year as the members of the Mary Martha Circle sought to fulfill our purpose to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We hope that others will join us in 2017. Remember, UMW is open to all women of the church, member or not. Whether you come to all the monthly meetings, or just a few, or none, we would love for every woman of the church, regardless of age, to be part of our mission.
Our January meeting will be held on Jan 10th at 10:30am in the Annie Lee Williams classroom. Join us as we plan next year’s outreaches and programs. This will be our usual potluck luncheon, so remember to bring your favorite dish. Hostesses are Peggy Ervin and Helen Edlin.
Things we did in 2016 as led by the Holy Spirit to fulfill our purpose:

Preschool News for the New Year

Happy New Year from Preschool! With the help of our preschoolers, their families and our congregation, we collected and donated three full boxes of toys to the fire department! Thank you to everyone who donated.

January will bring coats, hats and maybe a few snowflakes to preschool and we are very excited to begin the second half of our school year! I would also like to thank our amazing preschool staff for the support, generosity and love they show each and every one of us! We are anxious to see what 2017 has in store. Blessings to all for the New Year!
